MED LINE PHILIPPINES INC. is a ship manning and recruitment agency operating in the Philippines. Its core business is to supply Filipino officers and crew personnel onboard cargo, container, tankers and roro vessels worldwide.

Med Line Philippines, Inc. is a wholly Filipino-owned corporation established in 1981. Commencing with only one shipping Principal as an exclusive supplier of Filipino crews to their fleet, a network of principals have been formed throughout the years, enabling Med Line Philippines, Inc. to generate more employment for the Filipino seamen.

For over 30 years, Med Line Philippines, Inc. has been meeting the demands of shipping Principals all across Asia and Europe for skilled personnel and resource management services with staff ranging from ratings to officer-level embarked on various-sized vessels.

RECRUITMENT AND DEPLOYMENT

OWNERS PROTECTING AGENT

Med Line Philippines, Inc. act as an Owner’s Protecting Agent upon request by the Principal that call at Philippine ports.


PROCUREMENT OF DOCUMENTS AND TRAVEL VISAS

Med Line Philippines, Inc. has strong ties with government agencies such as the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA), Maritime Industries Authority (MARINA) and the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), allowing an expedited arrangement, documentation and procurement of eligibility requirements, i.e. securing employment and travel eligibility requirements.


WORKFORCE PLANNING AND ADMINISTRATION

Med Line Philippines, Inc. help solve manning problems related to crew availability, quality and administration. Workforce planning and administration are guided by the standards set forth in accordance with the Principal’s requirements and International standards.


Our mission at Med Line Philippines is to make the life of the Vessel Operator as easy as possible by delivering a Personal Management Service that provides the company requirements. Our complete crew management package encompasses at least all of the following areas of marine personnel management:

Recruitment

Including, Identifying position, advertising, applicant interview, background checks and placement

Operations

Includes crew scheduling, leave monitoring, arranging crew changes travel, providing suitable cover for sickness/study leave etc, supply of uniform/working gear

Training

Identifying training needs, maintenance of training records, arranging courses, assessing training establishments and etc.

Medical

Monitoring medical status, arranging medicals, maintaining company Drugs and Alcohol Policy

Welfare

Including maintnenace of sickness records, compassionate leave, dealing with next of kin

Travel

Arrangements for staff travel using marine airfares

General Employment Issues

Dealing with grievance/disciplinary procedures, promotions, resignations, appraisal, redundancy/programmes

Administration

Maintaining personal records, Visa applications, Certificate renewals, Liaison with clients etc.
